Know what you need
before you start.

Configure services as your workflow needs them. The current free package is a preview; its features and limitations are described in the corresponding release notes.

  1. Check your system and release status first

The current preview is for macOS Apple Silicon (arm64). Intel, Windows and Linux packages are not provided. Read the preview notes and known limitations before installing.

  2. Start with basic market data; add sources as needed

Basic public market data and regular scanning need no CoinGecko or CoinGlass key, but still require network and source access. Enhanced sources follow their provider and plan requirements: bring your own key where needed and explicitly enable the source. Provider plans may cost extra.

  3. Configure a provider and model when you need AI

Choose an AI provider in settings and configure its required key and model. External model availability, quotas and possible charges depend on the provider. AI helps you understand the workflow; decisions remain yours.

  4. Configure and authorize trading separately

Viewing market data does not operate an account. Actual trading requires an account connection, explicit authorization and the relevant risk controls. Current automation verification covers Testnet.

macOS installation steps after receiving a package
  1. Check the package source

Confirm the version is intended for your device and compare the supplied filename and SHA-256 digest. A locally signed historical package may trigger a system trust prompt; confirm the handling with the provider.

  2. Keep a backup and quit the existing app

Keep a backup of the existing installation and data before upgrading, then quit STEDVOR. Existing settings, databases and local Keychain items are not distributed with the package.

  3. Extract the package and move the app to Applications

Extract the ZIP, then drag the complete STEDVOR Basic.app into Applications and retain its bundled components. Open the disk image first if you receive a DMG.

  4. Confirm the version and feature scope

Check the version and release notes to see which features are supplied before starting your research workflow.
